Matthew Stewart, Taz Rahman, Ardith Brown & Chris Hemingway

Cheltenham

Dates: 25/04/2024

Venue: Cheltenham Friends' Meeting House

Four poets from three continents come together to read in Cheltenham.

Bangladesh-born poet (now living in Wales), Taz Tahman, will be reading from his collection ‘East of the Sun, West of the Moon’ described as “a linguistic tour-de-force, its liquid jazz-inspired phrasing delights with sonic leaps and swerves of imagination.”

Matthew Stewart (who lives in Spain and West Sussex) will be reading poems inspired by matters of the heart, football, and the post-Brexit marketplace.

Taz and Matthew will be joined by American poet Ardith Brown, who won last year’s Cheltenham Poetry Festival International Competition, and local musician and poet Chris Hemingway.
