Lewis Barfoot Live at The Prince Albert

Stroud

Dates: 12/04/2026

Venue: The Prince Albert

Contemporary folk at its best. London Irish singer songwriter and folk artist Lewis Barfoot returns to the Prince Albert for a special matinee performance.
Contemporary folk artist and singer-songwriter Lewis Barfoot takes to the road this spring for an eight-date solo UK tour. Featuring return performances at The Prince Albert in Stroud and The Kitchen Garden in Birmingham alongside several debut appearances including Nottingham, Lancaster and Hay-On Wye. The tour offers audiences an intimate encounter with an artist whose music is deeply rooted in folk traditions yet guided by a distinctly personal voice. Lewis Barfoot’s songs are shaped by fingerpicked guitar, “Vocals that melt the hearts of angels” (KLOF), and beautifully profound — often playful — lyricism that enraptures audiences with its authenticity. She has released two studio albums, Glenaphuca (2021) and HOME (2023), both of which received strong support across BBC Radio, RTÉ Radio 1 and Folk Radio UK. Lewis is currently developing a new album of old folk songs titled The Old Bog Road continuing her role as both a contemporary songwriter and a thoughtful custodian of traditional material.

“An arrestingly good vocalist and songwriter” - John O’Regan, Living Tradition “The delightful sound of a musician who is both an accomplished composer of original material and a torchbearer keeping alive traditional styles and song" - David Pratt, KLOF
