They All Came Out To Montreux UK Film Premier
Cheltenham
Friday 1st May 2026
They All Came Out To Montreux tells the story of the Montreux Jazz Festival and its founder, Claude Nobs, whose decision to film performances created one of the most important archives in modern music history. Executive Producer Quincy Jones guides this account of a festival that became a meeting place for many of the world’s leading musicians.
Featuring artists including David Bowie, Aretha Franklin, Miles Davis, Sting and Prince, the film draws on rare footage to chart Montreux’s rise from local festival to international landmark.
Following the screening, director Oliver Murray and guests will discuss the making of the film, the Montreux Jazz Festival and the extraordinary archive it created.
