Important Announcement – Summer Open Day Cancelled!

Due to the rising temperatures forecast for Saturday, we have made the very difficult decision to cancel our Summer Open Day.

 

 

This wasn’t a decision we took lightly but as our event is largely dog-focused, the welfare of our four-legged friends has to come first. We don’t want to encourage owners to bring their dogs out in potentially unsafe temperatures, and we know many people would understandably choose to stay away. As a result, we don’t believe the event would attract the visitor numbers needed to make it financially viable to go ahead.

We are incredibly disappointed. Our Summer Open Day is our biggest community event of the year and one of our most important fundraising events, raising vital funds to help us care for animals in need.

We’d like to thank everyone who had planned to attend, volunteer, sponsor, exhibit or support the event. We know many of you were looking forward to it as much as we were, and we’re so sorry for the disappointment this will cause. We’re hoping to hold a smaller community event in the autumn instead, and we can’t wait to welcome you then. We’ll share more details as soon as we can.
