The Royal International Air Tattoo 2019

Few events can rival the intensity, drama and spectacle on offer at the world's greatest airshow. The Air Tattoo returns this July (19-21)  to RAF Fairford in Gloucestershire with one of the most diverse flying displays around.

 

This year, the airshow's theme is Air & Space: Inspiring the Next Generation Airforce. As well as opportunities to view examples of commercial space rockets currently being developed in the UK, visitors will be able to see an ExoMars rover prototype in action as well as talk to the scientists and engineers responsible for operating it, thanks to Airbus Defence & Space. Giving his seal of approval to the Air Tattoo's Space theme will be British astronaut Major Tim Peake who will be making an appearance at the airshow on Friday, July 19.

 

 

The RAF Red Arrows will also be taking to the skies on all three days, delighting crowds at RAF Fairford with their thrilling routines for their last public display at the show before they fly to North America for the Western Hawk 19 Tour!

 

As well as welcoming air arms from around the world, there will be engaging and interactive displays in the critically-acclaimed Techno Zone®, demonstrating how space technology is being developed and how it is being used to help counter threats to our everyday lives.

 

 

On the ground, visitors will also be able to explore the Air Tattoo’s Activity Zone (closed Friday), Vintage Village and RAF Experience.

 

The Royal International Air Tattoo is staged annually in support of the RAF Charitable Trust. Ticket prices start at £47.00 per adult and all under 18s go free when accompanied by a ticket-paying adult.
