Fancy learning a little bit more about Cheltenham with your family? This summer we invite you to take part in a free self-guided trail to discover some of the fascinating history of Cheltenham's most well-known buildings and landmarks in the town centre. Test your observation skills by trying to spot the answers to the questions at each location. This fun trail can be enjoyed at any time.
Examples of questions in the free self-guided family trail:
- Can you spot how many lions are on the roof above the entrance to The Ivy?
- How many horses are there at Neptune's Fountain?
- What number can be spotted in the can on the street art location at The Brewery Quarter?
FAQs
- How do you take part in the free Cheltenham self-guided family trail?
Print off the free self-guided family trail map on our website OR pick up a copy from the Cheltenham Tourist Information Centre (TIC) at Cheltenham Town Hall. Open Monday to Saturday 10am - 4pm.
- Are there prizes for taking part?
Yes! Show your completed quiz sheet to the volunteers manning the desk at the Tourist Information Centre and receive a small prize.
- What if my child can't find the answers?
The family trail has been designed for young children to be able to take part and have fun using their observational skills. Answers to the family trail can be found on our website. No peeking! This is in case you get stuck, as we want everyone to have a fun day exploring Cheltenham.
