Come and be one of the first people to ride behind our brand new steam engine! Our Vintage Working Weekend and Railway Gala is by far the busiest weekend of the year on our railway with an intensive timetable of passenger and goods trains. All of our engines will be in action along with our brand new steam engine, which is still being built!

We also plan to have a number of visiting traction engines and tractors on site operating heritage machines such as rock crushers and saw benches. It’s a great spectacle to watch the tree trunks arrive by train, then get unloaded and cut by steam power; a real insight into a bygone age.

We highly recommend advance booking for this event as we do get very busy. Normal prices apply and annual pass holders are included as normal. More information on any visiting railway engines will be announced closer to the event.
