This summer, heritage venues across Gloucester are providing a host of free and low-cost events for residents and visitors alike, encouraging both young and old to explore the fascinating history of this city.

Through a series of talks, walks and activities in historic venues like The Folk of Gloucester, St Michael's Tower, Llanthony Secunda Priory, Gloucester Cathedral and the Museum of Gloucester, we will be shining a light on Gloucester's storied past.

The festival kicks off on 18th July with the wonderful Family Day, featuring 3D art on Westgate Street, free displays and kids' activities at The Folk of Gloucester, a Cathedral dig, and the Creativity Cart at the Museum of Gloucester.

The festival culminates in a community picnic at St. Oswald's Priory on Saturday the 1st of August.
