1. The Shawshank Redemption

Tuesday 10th – Saturday 14th February

Tickets: From £19

Based on Stephen King’s 1982 novella, this poignant stage production portrays the unlikely friendship between Andy Dufresne and fellow maximum-security inmate and ‘prison fixer’, Red. Incarcerated in the notorious Shawshank facility, the two men learn the hard way that no one can survive alone, and they quietly hatch a desperate plan…

Starring:
Joe McFadden whose television credits include PC Joe Mason in Heartbeat, Raf in Holby City and, of course, winning the 2017 series of Strictly Come Dancing. Theatre credits include 2:22 A Ghost Story, The Rocky Horror Show and Agatha Christie’s The Mirror Crack’d.
Ben Onwukwe boasts a 30 year stage career including leading roles with the RSC and the Royal Court, and eleven years on TV as Recall McKenzie in London’s Burning.
Bill Ward is best known for his long-running performances as Charlie Stubbs in Coronation Street and James Barton in Emmerdale but most recently he has been baring all as Gerald in the UK tour of The Full Monty.

2. The Bodyguard

The international, award-winning musical The Bodyguard returns to The Everyman Theatre to follow the story of former Secret Service agent turned bodyguard, Frank Farmer, who is hired to protect superstar Rachel Marron from an unknown stalker. Each expects to be in charge – what they don't expect is to fall in love. Featuring hit songs from the original film soundtrack, including Saving All My Love, I Have Nothing, I Wanna Dance With Somebody and I Will Always Love You.

Starring international leading actor Sidonie Smith (Sister Act, Chicago, Jesus Christ Superstar) as Rachel Marron, Olivier Award nominated Adam Garcia (Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, Wicked, Coyote Ugly) as Frank Farmer and Matt Milburn (Coronation Street, Hollyoaks) as Sy Spector.

The story follows recently divorced, single mum Allie as she juggles parenting with the launch of her tech start up. When she decides to advertise for a lodger to help make ends meet, their lives intertwine, boundaries blur and a seemingly perfect arrangement begins to unravel.
