Set against the magnificent backdrop of Rome, Puccini's Tosca is one of the most thrilling and dramatic operas ever written. Combining romance, political intrigue and extraordinary music, it remains one of the most popular works in the operatic repertoire and one of the greatest nights out in live theatre.

The opera follows the celebrated singer Floria Tosca and her lover, the artist Mario Cavaradossi, as they are drawn into a dangerous world of suspicion, corruption and control. When Cavaradossi becomes involved with an escaped political prisoner, both lovers fall into the hands of the ruthless Baron Scarpia, a man determined to possess Tosca and destroy anyone who stands in his way.

As jealousy, passion and power collide, Tosca is forced to make an impossible choice between love and survival. The result is a gripping story of sacrifice, betrayal and destiny, building towards one of the most unforgettable finales in all opera.

This spectacular production by the Dnipro Opera features lavish costumes, impressive sets, outstanding international soloists and the full richness of a live orchestra, bringing Puccini's masterpiece vividly to life.
