Quatuor Petrus string quartet

Quatuor Petrus string quartet are coming from London to Duntisbourne Abbotts for a very special one-off concert at St Peters Church on Thursday 2nd April.

 

They will be playing Joseph Haydn’s “The Seven Last Words of Christ on the Cross”, a work which takes the form of seven meditations on Jesus's last words, creating a "private hour of reflection."

 

Quatuor Petrus are renowned interpreters of the work, which is a significant challenge for string quartets; their performances in London in 2025 were met with great acclaim.

 

The event will be preceded by drinks and canapes from 7pm. Tickets are £15 and are available by email from Marian Lowe (duntisbournes-events@gmail.com) or online using the QR code on the attached poster.

 

Proceeds from the concert will be split equally between the church and the village hall - so this is a wonderful opportunity to hear a world-class string quartet in the beautiful setting of St Peters Church on an Easter evening, and to support two important community spaces at the heart of the village.
