A Blaze of Glory: stunning choral music

The City of Birmingham Choir make their biennial visit to Tewkesbury Abbey, for an inspiring concert of choral music with a stellar brass ensemble and organist Andrew Lumsden. The programme includes music by Elgar, Several, Widor, Dupre, and Purcell, with two longer items: Joseph Jongen's beautiful but rarely-performed Mass, and in his eightieth year, Sir John Rutter's energetic Gloria.
