About Acting Up!: Glitz
Acting Up! are hugely excited to be bringing their original production – Glitz – to the Roses Theatre this summer.
The play is designed to bring fun, and a bit of glamour to the stage in what is a modern day adaptation based loosely around a classic high school story.

Expect jokes, singing, cheerleading, movement and plenty of drama. We endeavour to make sure the children have fun first and foremost, while giving every young person the opportunity to shine.

Although some of the students have performed at The Roses previously, it will be Acting Up’s first time on the stage as a company, and we believe it will be a wonderful opportunity for them to experience what it’s like working in an actual theatre.

The students ages range from 3-18 years, and we are an inclusive society who welcome all backgrounds and abilities.

In total there will be around 45-50 children performing in the show, however, we always endeavour to keep group sizes as small as can to ensure that each child can be an individual and that their voices are always heard.

Acting Up! has a real family feel to it and we are excited to collectively embark on what is our biggest project yet, in collaboration with the Roses Theatre.

The Roses is a 370 seat theatre within a busy and popular arts centre in Tewkesbury. It has an eclectic programme of live events, take part activities, exhibitions and festivals.
