Bill Kenwright’s legendary production of Blood Brothers, one of the longest-running and most beloved musicals in West End history, comes to Cheltenham’s Everyman Theatre next week.

Written by Willy Russell, Blood Brothers tells the moving tale of twin brothers separated at birth, one raised in privilege, the other in poverty, whose fates intertwine with tragic consequences. The show has captivated audiences for over 40 years, earning standing ovations night after night and cementing its status as “the nation’s favourite musical.”

Leading the cast as the devoted yet downtrodden Mrs Johnstone is Vivienne Carlyle, whose acclaimed portrayal in the West End and on tour has received nightly standing ovations. Returning to their celebrated roles as the twin brothers are Sean Jones (Mickey) and Joe Sleight (Eddie), with Gemma Brodrick reprising her role as Linda.

The Blood Brothers 2025 tour continues to build on its legacy as one of the most powerful pieces of British musical theatre.
