Join Edufun this summer from 24 July to 25 August.

A bespoke languages and culture club for children and young people in Cheltenham and surrounding area is launching this summer.  Edufun was created by Regina Tipping in 2015 after she noticed a gap in cultural awareness through her work as a qualified secondary school teacher of French and Spanish in Gloucestershire schools.

Edufun aims to teach languages and culture to all children and young people of all backgrounds and abilities, with the objectives to promote cultural understanding, to foster community cohesion and better appreciation for differences and to empower through language related opportunities.

Edufun provides bespoke interactive language workshops in which participants are offered a rich insight into of cultures across the world through singing, dancing, djembe drumming, cookery, arts and crafts in the following languages:  French, Spanish, African, Italian, Japanese, Chinese and Arabic. One language is focused on each week for the holiday programmes and all work support the national curriculum.

For community events, Edufun organises international cuisine experience for parents and also holds experience workshops in festivals like the Children’s Festival 2016, Rovin Fest 2016, and the Christian Arts Festival 2016 and 2017.

Workshops are delivered by UK qualified teachers and experienced tutors in a caring and friendly environment. All DBS cleared.

Whether through the holiday camps for children 4+, the parents’ cookery experience, or through festival workshops, at Edufun childre will be given the opportunity to:

  • Improve language skills and school grades.
  • Meet new people and learn about different cultures.
  • Keep a language portfolio and certificate and to explore language related opportunities
